Problem with X on Optiplex GX240/r128

Hi !

I have an old Dell Optiplex GX240 with ATI Technologies Inc Rage 128 Pro Ultra TF
fully updated (Fedora release 10.92 (Rawhide)) as of today.

Standard setup without /etc/X11/xorg.xonf.
X locks up when i do startx. I get a beep and blurred display
