I really don't know how to help this. I can only say that whatever
buffers are on the Cardbus card is not very relevant to us. Even if
they exist, they are either not visible to software, or useless.

This can be caused by any number of reasons:
 - device not liking the block size we request and boggling down
 - PCI master parameters not optimal for the HC
 - MTRR not set right (although that would probably slow whole box)
 - other?
