I understood there was a reason for commenting out the rngd call in the
rc.sysvinit script, because it created havoc on certain systems. Though this is
from memory from an irc conversation half a year ago. I could be wrong.

The "proper" fix would be for any virtualised guest to have some kind of read
access to the host's entropy source.
