Same here on a Fujitsu Lifebook using mplayer.  It spits out endless
BadAlloc errors and nothing appears in the video output.

This is with metacity.

Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML (rev 04)

xorg.conf is using driver "intel"

It would be nice to hear that some Xorg developer has tried to use xv
with the current packages in fedora rawhide, and either had success or
can reproduce the problem.
