This works for GNOME not fvwm.

This

  for wm in fvwm gnome-session startkde

loads fvwm but does not fix the problem.  GNOME is doing the work for you.  So
far, /etc/security/console.perms... (comment 16 if memory serves) remains the
only usable fix so far.
