Seu modem eh este daqui:

Teste abri-lo com o wvdial ou gnome-ppp atraves da porta /dev/ttyUSB4

Se nao funcionar, tente abri-lo com o "minicom" na mesma porta e rode
o comando padrao "HAYES":

AT+ZCDRUN=8 <ENTER>


Caso nao consiga abri-lo via "minicom" , abra-o usando Hyperterminal
numa maquina Windows e dispare o comando acima.

Em seguida, crie um regra de HAL para ele ser carregado automagicamente.
Coloque o conteudo abaixo em um novo arquivo de nome
/etc/udev/rules.d/90-zte.rules
