Thanks for this.

I've grabbed it anyway, even though I've managed to get this to work.

It was just a matter of getting into the right directory:

cd ../linux-%{kversion}.%{_target_cpu}
%patch30000 -p2

The kernel rebuild is chugging away as I type.
