Was there any specific ticket on the IPA side to connect this patch too?
If not can you please open such ticket in the freeipa trac instance?

It would help us to make sure the work you have done is not lost.
Also since it is an enhancement would you mind putting together a
paragraph that would describe following about this feature:
1) Overview - what feature is about
2) Use case - why it is needed
3) How to test it
4) Anything that needs to be documented
5) Examples of use

You can send this to the list or attache to the ticket.
We are trying to be a bit more formal in tracking the new features so
that we know what they are and how to test them. We will put it on the
wiki and reference from the ticket.

I hope you would find this request reasonable.
And thank you again for the interest and contribution to the IPA
project. We really appreciate it!
