[Freeipa-users] Complaint web browsers

Just as a pointer here - It would be good if there was ubiquitous support
amongst the browsers. I understand the whole concept behind "we test what
we ship with", but we're no longer talking about huge differences between
browsers these days. Would it be possible to look at shipping a WebUI
which is usable from all the major browsers? (I realise the term "major
browsers" already provides a grey area, but it would certainly include IE,
Chrome, Firefox and Safari - Opera optional).
Having been forced to use IE6 in the bad old days because of HP iLO, it
would be good to differentiate ourselves from those times by providing
support across a wide base of browsers. I'm not just talking about
Free-IPA here - I first encountered the problem by being told that using
Chrome with RHN Satellite is unsupported. Just strikes me as somewhat
narrow to refuse to support the most used products out there. Who knows
if your admin is running Windows, Mac or Linux desktop?
Cheers
Duncan

others using? ie what are compliant/suitable?
We are only claiming to support Firefox, 3 on forward should all work,
but we only test the versions with Fedora and RHEL.
Chrome will work, but you need to set up Kerberos Ticket Forwarding,
which means setting an ENV VAR prior to running.
Have not tested on IE recently. Have reason to think it might be broke,
but the Kerberos requirement makes it a non-starter for real deployments.
Safari has been fairly well tested. Again, Kerberos setup is a little
bit of effort.
