Greetings Red Hat Worldwide Partners,

Red Hat is pleased to announce the immediate availability of the following 
in
support of the recently released Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.2:

    *  Red Hat Enterprise Linux Hardware Certification Policy Guide

    *  Red Hat Hardware Catalog
       (http://hardware.redhat.com)

Please review the details below and file any defects against the 'Red Hat
Ready Certification Tests' product using the 'website' or 'policy'
components in Bugzilla(http://bugzilla.redhat.com) if you encounter any
Policy Guide errors or experience problems with the Hardware Catalog.

The Policy Guide updates include the following:

Program Policy
    *  Included support for single vendor Pass-Through scenarios.

Software Policy
    *  Added a kernel use chart footnote.
       The 5.2 kernel (2.6.18-92.el5) or greater is required to pass the
       cpuscaling test with the Virtualization (-xen) kernel.

Hardware Class Requirements Policy
    *  Included the ExpressCard class requirements.

Hardware Class Requirements Policy
    *  Amended System Processors requirements to include cpuscaling testing
       on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5[.x] certifications using either a 
       virtualization (-xen) or bare metal (-smp, -pae) kernel.
