Greetings Red Hat Worldwide Partners,

Red Hat is pleased to announce the immediate availability of the updated
Red Hat Hardware Catalog Policy Guide (http://hardware.redhat.com/doc)
and Test Suite Handbook (http://hardware.redhat.com/doc/handbook).


Policy Guide Highlights:

* Added bluray testing requirements for RHEL.

* Expanded CPU and tape drive leveraging cases.

* Reduced Xen guest tests requirements.

* Xen continues to be the required FV testing.


Test Suite Handbook Highlights:

* Replace hts references with v7.

* Add bluray and fv_* information.



Please read the details below; if you encounter any problems please file
any issues, typos or errors against the 'Red Hat Hardware Certification
Program' product in Bugzilla (https://bugzilla.redhat.com).


Policy Guide Changelog:

Add descriptive text for Tiered model naming schemes.
Update options text to allow for support page notation of OS specific
options.
Add bluray requirements for RHEL5.
Expand tape drive leveraging text to account for smaller versions of
tape changers.
Remove the text for the expired timeout window for optional profiler
testing.
Update CPU leverage to allow for leveraging new model processors to
existing certified systems.
Add fv_* tests to both the System Virtualization and class requirements
table.
Update test suite command references to say hts or v7.
Update test suite text to reposition hts(v7) as the harness portion of
the collection (suite) of packages.
Remove the Red Hat Assisted Testing text.
Correct leverage matrix spreadsheet links.
Remove Xen emulated network and storage from FV testing requirement.
Add KVM note that Xen continues to be the required FV testing.


Test Suite Handbook Changelog:

Replace/update hts with v7 or 'harness' language as appropriate.
Update some certify/run references; certify is the new run (already
present hts-5.3).
Update hts screen captures with v7 captures.
Add automated fv testing section.
Add fv_* tests to test list in the command reference.
