vncts doesn't work

I can't get vncts to work in fedora 9 (or fedora 10). I only get the grey screen when I
try to "vncviewer mymachine:5900" (or :5903). Any hints?

I can't find a Xaccess-file to edit - which is what I'm supposed to according to the
vncts-file in xinetd.d. I've enabled XDMCP in /etc/gdm/custom.conf, restarted GDM, but
nothing works. I always get the grey screen.

Has anyone got it working?
