Floppy module

How do I force load the floppy module.
LTSP4.2 used:
MODULE_XX=floppy
in lts.conf, this does not seem to do anything now and I cannot find the
relevant loader script anyway.

Also, /etc/udev/rules.d/88-ltsp.rules only seems to run when the floppy
module is removed not when it is added??
