[K12OSN] macromedia suite

Hi All,

I'm looking into practicalities of implementing OS software + operating 
systems throughout a secondary school in England. I need to know if there is 
an open source alternative to the macromedia suite (excluding dreamweaver, 
since thats easier to replace) -- specifically flash and fireworks. These 
pieces of software seem to be the greatest stumbling blocks for my plans 
regarding the ICT department.
