when 25 people log on and load open office all at once (tuxmath/type would be insanely slow cuz of network bandwidth)...
it tends to bog down the server...then once the programs are all up and running it flows smoothly...

Do you mean the time required to download the kernel? If so, there are
some things like multicast that can improve that. It is a little more
complicated so I would suggest it only if you are ready to experiment a
