[K12OSN] smbldap install script error

While running the smbldap-configure script, I receive this error:

Running smbldap-populate...failure!
I'm stopping here because this is bad.
Correct the error by hand and re-run this script.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?  I am using LTSP 4.4.1
distro and running the smbldap-installer-2.0-delta-r4.tgz version.
