[K12OSN] Router mystery

I'm a newbie trying to test k12LTSP on my home network that consists of:

cable modem --->Netgear MR814 Router--->PCs

When I connect the k12LTSP server (eth1) to the router it doesn't see
the Internet.

When I connect the k12LTSP server (eth1) directly to the cable modem
it DOES see the internet. Why?

Is there any way I can put the k12LTSP server behind my router so my
Windows stand-alone machines can share internet access?

I also use VOIP (Vonage) , so when I am using k12LTSP on the internet,
I lose phone service. Obviously this is not winning me any friends in
my household.

How can I connect eth1 to my router, so the Linux workstations have
access to the internet?

I also have a linux box loaded with FC3 and just a single NIC,
connected to the router and it HAS internet access.

What do I need to do to get k12LTSP to see the internet behind my router?

Maybe one day Linux will be less of a mystery to me, but right now...
