Err, isn't that rather the -point- of the eb2hd project?  Couldn't you just use the boot.iso for the purpose you describe?  Sorry if I didn't make myself clear; Etherboot to Hard Disk takes umm... etherboot and some NIC detectig code and err... puts it on the hard disk. :D
