AR (5.12 at least) works well under Crossover Office by Codeweavers. I
believe someone else recently got it to work under a regular WINE build
as well (he had problems adding students in the management module... I
didn't have problems via Crossover Office 4.1). There are some tweaks
you need to do to the wine config in order to make the fonts render
properly (there is a problem w/ anti-aliasing and how the text inverts
from black on white to white on black when you select
students/books/et), quick fix though.
Just search the list for crossover office and Accelerated Reader... it
should show up. =)

Ann,
Are you running AR in a MAC or PC environment? I am exploring
W.I.N.E.
to see what existing apps will run from our PC environment. I
was
planning to test AR next week to see if it will run. Would be
happy to
let you know what I find out.

Accelerated Reader and Star onto your Linux boxes ??

on
solving this problem.
