Dan,

Boot up into Fedora, take your router out of the picture. Just plug your
"Fedora" PC into your cable modem, without the the router in the picture,
& see if Fedora works this way. I m guessing it still will not work
without the router even in the picture.
( If all you have is your Linksys DI-524 & no "single" cable modem to test
with, then this is null)
If Fedora still does not work, It about has to be that you have hard coded
an internal IP address in Windows ( to match the router internal Ip
address) is the reason it works in Windows and not Fedora.
In Windows do an - ipconfig /all - at a command prompt, & see what
your ip address is.
In Fedora do an - ifconfig - ( as root) in a terminal to see what your
IP adddress is.
These ip addresses ( for either wireless or hardwired nics) should
ultimatley be the same in either OS.
You didn't mention if you are actually using a wireless nic in your test
pc or if you have cat5 going to/from your wireless router to your
Windows/Fedora PC.
If you ARE using a wireless nic in the test pc, then you probably need to
manually "enable"/ Connect one time, from the Fedora PC to your wireless
router( device name). After this Fedora should work each & every time :)

Take Care,

Barry Cisna
