Do you have a space between the quote marks in the "cut" portion of
that one liner?
What's the result of combining just the "rpm" and "grep commands when
you run the following line?

rpm -qa--queryformat "%{NAME} %{VENDOR}\n"|grep ATrpms

Keep in mind that my one liner is intended only for updating existing
ATrpms packages, not adding new ones, or debugging mplayer.

What happens when you run mplayer from the command line? As in
"mplayer FILENAME"

Does that give you any error messages?

Or did I lose track of things, and have  you not installed mplayer yet?

If so, what happens when you run the following?

yum --enablerepo=at-stable -y install  mplayer
