Update: I'm doing this now:
cat usernamepwfile | /usr/sbin/chpasswd
and I get this:
chpasswd: can't lock password file
I tried moving passwd.lock, shadow.lock passwd- and shaddow-..... no luck.
Little help?
Thanks!
Peter
