[K12OSN] K12LTSP - How easy was that!

Tom-
Can I infer from your email address that you're in New Ulm, MN and you were at our
conference last week? If so, welcome! As Simon mentioned, rdesktop allows you to
connect from a LTSP client to a Windows Terminal Server, which would allow you to run a
Windows desktop session and programs on the LTSP client. If you were at the conference
last week, we had rdesktop running on a couple of clients--the sleek black ones with the
LCD screens on the right side of the room. It's one of the methods for supporting
Windows apps in a K12LTSP environment. It's cool, but like all things related to
Microsoft and other proprietary software, it can quickly get expensive because there are
so many licensing costs. I see rdesktop and WTS as simply a transitional tool. As you
become more familiar with K12LTSP, you'll find you need the WTS less and less.
