If you have done an update since the last reboot, the new kernel may
have a problem with something.  Do a ctl-alt-delete to reboot cleanly
or if that doesn't work you'll have to power-cycle.  Hit a key quickly
at the grub screen, then use the arrow key to move down to your
previous kernel and hit enter to boot it.  If that works, edit
/etc/grub.conf after you are back up to make the working kernel
the default for subsequent reboots.
