To get sound working in Impress you need JRE (Java Runtime Environment)
installed. Some distributions don't install JRE by default, Windows comes
with it already installed.
You can check by going tools>options>openoffice.org>java to see if a JRE is
installed. If it's blank you can go to www.java.com and download it
