That's what I was suspecting and I was in the process of trying to figure 
which system I was using and switch to KDM. But, now that you mention it I'll 
try to set up with the docs for GDM.

Where is that you can change from GDM to KDM? Is it in 
the /etc/sysconfig/desktop file?

Hopefully I can get  this going this week.
