[K12OSN] needed: recommendations for Linux flavor with ongoing support

John,

Ubuntu 6.06 will indeed be supported for 5 years (well, about 4-1/2 is 
left).

And, you don't have to pay Canonical or anyone else a dime to get the 
updates during that time.
