[K12OSN] Blade Server for LTSP?

Just to add to Gavin's account of the HP c-Class BladeSystem we are looking to replace a four of our current HP ProLiant 360's with a HP BladeSystem c7000 enclosure and two BL460c blades (with a third later this year) for our Windows Terminal Server offering.  In our case the BladeSystem solution is comparable in price to the standard HP server equivalents.

As Gavin suggests it is our intention to move towards blades as and when servers need to be replaced.  The chances of me getting a spare to play with LTSP remains quite small though... :(

We use the HP 'P' Class Blades here and have done for some time, The P Class are sort of 'Mid Range' now that the New 'C' Class are the best of the best (But that cost an arm, both legs and maybe an eye) But I used 5 Blades @ one point for K12LTSP and it ran fine..
A HP 'P' Class Chassis with 1 or two blades here in the UK starts @ around £5,000 - £6,000 from most of my contacts as a 'Starter Kit'
But the 'P' class are slowly being replaced by the Very New 'C' Class...

But it is worth looking into blades as you start to replace old servers as and when they need to be replaced...
