[K12OSN] squid and squidguard setup

Following the sintructions at http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/howto-rhel-centos-fedora-squid-installation-configuration.html, I'm trying to install squid and squidguard.  When I run /etc/init.d/squid start from terminal, I get a failure message in my output file.  Any suggestions please:
