There was a discussion about getting this information to the /status 
services of both engines. I have created bugzillas for both:

I would suggest not to take this information from RPMs because I don't 
install from RPMs on my main development site (only when I test). In 
addition to that my engines are running on other boxes. Would be nice to 
get it from the engines themselves.
