Automated UI promote tests are passing on the latest commit:
http://hudson.rhq.lab.eng.bos.redhat.com:8080/hudson/view/Cloudforms-Dashboard/job/katello-gui/687/testReport/(root)/promote%20content/

This is 
katello-0.1.98-1.git.13.5a8e341.el6.x86_64

So the only difference running from git would make is the install method
- it's the same katello code.
