Much closer! I now get an issue related to, I think, the new installer 
logic:

The top-level log file is 
[/var/log/katello/katello-configure-20121115-143848/main.log]
err: /Stage[main]/Katello::Config/Exec[update_upgrade_history]/returns: 
change from notrun to 0 failed: ls 
/usr/share/katello/install/upgrade-scripts/upgrade/ > 
/var/lib/katello/upgrade-history returned 2 instead of one of [0] at 
/usr/share/katello/install/puppet/modules/katello/manifests/config.pp:192


If I start the katello service I am good. LZAP.. I think this is you.
