[Libguestfs] What's left for libguestfs 1.8 ...

Although 1.6.0 was only released 6 weeks ago, there have been 276
commits and 23 releases since then. It's therefore time to think
about what needs to be done for 1.8.

This is my personal list. Please follow up if you have other
suggestions.

Rich.

* Implement guestfish --rw option / configuration file.
  http://libguestfs.org/guestfish.1.html#opening_disks_for_read_and_write

* Alternate method to launch appliance through libvirt and connect
  to already running guests.
(CC'd to Dan Berrange who had patches for this a while back)

* Builds available for Debian, Ubuntu, Gentoo, ArchLinux when 1.8 is
  released.

If there are particular bugs that should be fixed for 1.8, then they
should have "1.8" in the "Devel Whiteboard" field in Bugzilla.

All bugs:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/buglist.cgi?component=libguestfs&product=Virtualization+Tools

Bugs with Devel Whiteboard == 1.8 (empty at the time of writing):

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/buglist.cgi?query_format=advanced&field0-0-0=cf_devel_whiteboard&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&type0-0-0=substring&value0-0-0=1.8&component=libguestfs&classification=Red%20Hat
