Re: [Libguestfs] Unable to convert vm

Thanks Richard

this improves the situation but fails with the following:

mount -o ro /dev/sda /sysroot/
[ 2.192468] EXT4-fs (sda): VFS: Can't find ext4 filesystem
[ 2.193983] EXT4-fs (sda): VFS: Can't find ext4 filesystem

[ 2.243647] FAT-fs (sda): invalid media value (0x00)
[ 2.244426] FAT-fs (sda): Can't find a valid FAT filesystem
[ 2.252264] hfs: can't find a HFS filesystem on dev sda.
[ 2.264278] hfs: unable to find HFS+ superblock
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail or so
guestfsd: error: /dev/sda on / (options: 'ro'): mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail or so

This happens for Ubuntu and RHEL guests. Unfortunately I was unable to find any information on this issue as well.

LIBGUESTFS_DEBUG=1 for more information

virt-v2v doesn't work with the latest version of libguestfs in Fedora 18,
because we (Fedora) switched over to using libvirt and we didn't
implement the 'iface' option that virt-v2v requires:

   http://libguestfs.org/guestfs.3.html#guestfs_add_drive_opts

Probably the easiest workaround is to set:

   export LIBGUESTFS_ATTACH_METHOD=appliance

Rich.
