Worked for me.

$ rpm -q qemu
qemu-1.4.0-2.fc18.x86_64
$ /usr/bin/qemu-system-x86_64 --version
QEMU emulator version 1.4.0, Copyright (c) 2003-2008 Fabrice Bellard

Maybe there is a missing dependency in the spec file, for a library
which I happen to have installed already but which you did not have
installed.  Cole did the qemu build, perhaps he has more ideas of what
debugging to attempt next.

Meanwhile, questions about fedora-virt-preview might be better addressed
to virt at lists.fedoraproject.org, as that is the downstream list dealing
with the entire virt stack in Fedora, whereas this is the upstream list
for dealing with libvirt usage questions.
