Partitioning makes me nervous.

On a "diskless" machine, I don't like how I need a cachefs partition and
a swap partition. Can cachefs be used as a backend for swapping, or
vice versa? (NOT cachefs on tmpfs, btw. I want my cache to be
persistant.) Would it make sense to combine the two in some way?

Could such a thing play nice with suspend2?

What would be the performance implications of a reiser4 backend to
fscache, versus cachefs? Or maybe having fscache support reiser4
"storage plugins"? I like reiser4's handling of small files,
performance boost due to hashing, and lack of fragmentation due to lazy
allocation. OTOH, DMA straight from NFS to disk makes sense.

(I don't like how reiser locks up my system while it flushes, but
they're working on that. I think.)

What about a reiser4 plugin to bypass fscache/cachefs entirely? I'm
thinking along the lines of InterMezzo -- have the cache be a resier4
filesystem in which writes get replicated to the network, and "file not
found" errors are caught so the network fs is checked. I brainstormed
about this on the reiser list awhile back, but Hans didn't seem
interested -- it's a plugin, which makes it Not His Problem (TM).
