You'll be much better off using 2.6.32 when it comes out. A whole bunch of
patches have just gone in which will make it much more robust.

There wouldn't be, I suppose. You built it in:

You could try changing that to <M>.

Your cachefilesd is looking in the wrong place for its device file. It
should now be looking for /dev/cachefiles.
Try grabbing, building and installing:
http://people.redhat.com/~dhowells/fscache/cachefilesd-0.9-1.fc7.src.rpm
