çå: [Linux-cluster] Compile problem under Fedora Core2 2.6.5-1.358

Hi, Jefferson,

ÂÂÂÂÂÂ I have upgraded my FC2 kernel to 2.6.8.1, but after I done all patches under /cluster folder on this version kernel,

I do the below operations:

ÂÂÂÂÂÂ ./configure âkernel_src=/lib/modules/2.6.8.1/build

ÂÂÂÂÂÂ make install

ÂÂÂÂÂÂ But it also occurred the following error:

ÂÂÂÂÂÂ ----------------------------------------

The file \cluster\gfs\gfs_fsck\pass2.c' :

Line 139 ÂÂÂÂÂÂ ea_name, ea_hdr->ea_type, GFS_EATYPE_LAST);

ÂÂÂ Error: âGFS_EATYPE_LASTâ undeclared

Also I only found this symbol will be patched under the kernel 2.6.9-rc1-mm3

in the file of /gfs-kernel/patches/2.6.9-rc1-mm3/gfs.patch, no any such patches in kernel 2.6.8.1

Line 33730: +#define GFS_EATYPE_LASTÂÂ ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ (2)

Line 33735: +#define GFS_EATYPE_VALID(x)ÂÂÂÂ ((x) && (x) <= GFS_EATYPE_LAST)

So how can I solve them? Any Help will be appreciated.

Hi, Rocty Wang.

Hi, Rocty Wang.

the patches work well with kernel org 2.6.x, I compiled on FC2 (Kernel org 2.6.8.1) and I obtained success.

Subject: [Linux-cluster] Compile problem under Fedora Core2 2.6.5-1.358

Hi, all,

       I have downloaded (using cvs) Redhat Linux Cluster Project source code from sources.redhat.com CVS server

    But when I compiled them under FC2(kernel2.6.5-1.358), I found that it failed.

    According to the usage.txt, I canât find any patches due to kernel 2.6.5 in cluster packages.

    So I do nothing about the following steps of 1, 2, 3. Is that right?

1. apply kernel patches from
   cluster/cman-kernel/patches/
   cluster/dlm-kernel/patches/
   cluster/gfs-kernel/patches/

2. configure kernel, selecting DM, CMAN, DLM, GFS

3. build kernel and cluster modules
   make; make modules_install

the 4th step I do as the below: (if set the kernel source directory as /usr/src/linux-2.6.5-1.358, it failed)

cd cluster

./configure âkernel_src=/lib/modules/2.6.5-1.358/build

make install

then the following warnings and error occur, what is the problem? Anyone can help me? Thanks!
