Yeah, that's correct.

If broadcast really seems not to work then you could always try multicast...

Got it working - I had the kernel for the xenU set to PENTIUM4, on a PENTIUM3 physical cpu. Rebuilt it for P3, and suddenly things worked. Go figure..
