Hello

the latest kernel patch for RHEL 5.1 wants to remove kmod-gfs -package.
What's up with this?

How does this happen?  When you're doing a 'yum update', just install the kernel?  Can you post the output of the commands that try to remove kmod-gfs?

sh-3.1# uname -a
Linux node1 2.6.18-53.1.14.el5 #1 SMP Wed Mar 5 11:37:38 EST 2008 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

sh-3.1# yum check-update

kernel.x86_64                            2.6.18-53.1.19.el5     updates
kernel-devel.x86_64                      2.6.18-53.1.19.el5     updates
kernel-headers.x86_64                    2.6.18-53.1.19.el5     updates
