[linux-lvm] unresolved symbol

I am currently running LinuxPPC.  I patched the 2.2.11 kernel and added LVM
as a module.  I recompiled the kernel and then installed LVM.  After reboot,
I tried 'insmod lvm' and I get the following errors:

/lib/modules/2.2.11/block/lvm.o: unresolved symbol lvm_hd_name_ptr_R30b64246
/lib/modules/2.2.11/block/lvm.o: unresolved symbol lvm_map_ptr_R3b91a27d

Any suggestions  ..
