[linux-lvm] lvm with kernel 2.2.14

I have RedHat 6.2 with kernel 2.2.14 and I'd like to use lvm. I have
installed the package lvm-0.8-0.i386.rpm from RedHat but I think, if I
understand well, that I need a patch for my kernel but I didn't find any lvm
patch for kernel 2.2.14. What is the best way to install lvm for me, do I
rather upgrade my kernell to a newer version or I just need the 2.2.14 patch
for lvm and where I can find it?
