Use the mkdvd-rhel3u2.sh script instead. This later script, which Chris
updated for RHEL3 last August, works beautifully under RHEL4. Because of
a major change in anaconda's version number between RHEL3 (v9) and RHEL4
(v10), you cannot use it to make an RHEL4 DVD while running RHEL3 or any
FC release.

There is one potential problem with this script that will cause it to
fail if your system doesn't have a LOT of space in /tmp and the
filesystem you're in. I had to modify it to run in one large mounted
partition on my system:

$ diff mkdvd-rhel3u2.sh mkdvd.sh
< [ ${LOOP:=/tmp/loop} = "/" ] && echo "LOOP mount point = \/, dying!" && exit
> [ ${LOOP:=./tmp/loop} = "/" ] && echo "LOOP mount point = \/, dying!" && exit
< [ ${DVD:=~/mkdvd} = "/" ] && echo "DVD data location is \/, dying!" && exit
> [ ${DVD:=./mkdvd} = "/" ] && echo "DVD data location is \/, dying!" && exit
> rm -rf ./tmp

I put the script in /usr/local/bin and run it from the same directory I
have my RHEL4 iso files (/pub/distributions/RHEL4/Release/ES). To avoid
any possible confusion (and dvd image file size overrun), I temporarily
move the docs dvd image somewhere else, and specify the parent directory
as the destination for the new dvd image:

     # mkdvd.sh . ../RHEL4-i386-ES-dvd.iso

When it completes you should have this iso image:
-rw-r--r--  1 doc doc 4273354752 Feb 21 11:48 RHEL4-i386-ES-dvd.iso

The md5sum should be:
2bea23391c2622dfb85cb32cfb201c6c  RHEL4-i386-ES-dvd.iso

Good luck.
