Re: up2date -- socket error: 110, connection timed out



Hello.

Could there possibly be a proxy server you are connecting through you need to include in the servers configuration?

I have seen some updates fail on RHEL servers with the location aware option enabled[0].

You can try disabling this by logging to RHN Classic Management[1], and selecting the server. From the details page, click Edit These Properties next to System Properties. Then, make sure to uncheck 'Supports Location-Aware update access' Once these changes are applied, attempt to update again.
