None of the nVidia cards will have hardware acceleration using the 'nv' 
driver included with the XFree package.

nVidia won't release the specs for their cards, making it difficult for 
anyone to write a fully working open source driver. If you want hardware 
acceleration using an nVidia card, you must use their closed source 
drivers.
