Re: [Pulp-list] add_package with --preserve metadata ?

Thanks that seems to have worked but after adding a few rpm's using a csv format i can no longer add anymore packages and its quite weird as i get a "package not found" error
pulp-admin repo add_package --id hosting-custom-x86_64 --csv pkgs2.csv
Package ruby-1.8.6.287-1.1.x86_64.rpm could not be found skipping

Im quite sure the package is in the same directory. even giving the absolute system path does not work . Would anyone know why ?

For repositories that you are not "mirroring", such as this custom rpm repo, do not use the --preserve-metadata option when creating the repo. Since you will managing package adds/removals via Pulp, the repodata will need to be created locally. With regards to the checksum; if you are wanting the repo to use "SHA1" vs "SHA256"; you can use the --checksum_type when creating the repo initially.
