First off, if you are going to use the 6.4 disk only for Linux, you want
ZERO DOS partitions.  Use the DOS fdisk and remove all of the partitions.
Actually, Linux fdisk can remove them as well.  Get rid of them all and then
repartition the drive for Linux use.

You will need a / partition that starts at 1 and ends at cylinder 1024.
You will also need at least one 128MB swap partition.  Then you will need
to make a /usr partition.  Those are the three minimum partitions.
