Re: removing a directory



You may need to 'unalias rm' before, if you get an error message.

One good thing is first to go in the directory where you want to delete, and
then do 'rm -Ri <dir>'

'-i' list the file and ask for confirmation
'-R' is for recursive (nested directories and files)

If you are sure of the files, or if you have a large amount, better type only
'rm -R <dir>' 
(for instance, to remove a bad install or whatever...)
