Right... you "get to dos and type..."

Does that sound like booting from the CD? duh?

Booting from the CD means permitting the BIOS to pick up the boot sectors
and loader from the CD-ROM, in effect you potentially would NOT need a
floppy or hard disk drive present to bring up a rudimentary version of the
OS.
