Kickstart failure on 6.1

Dear Kickstarters

After the success I had with the 5.2 kickstart I'd thought I'd
use it for 6.1, but it fails because it seems to ignore the

network --bootproto static --ip <ipnum> --netmask <mask> --gateway <gw>
--nameserver <ns>

line. (I've removed the actual IP nums).
(Yes the network line is on one line)

The Alt-F3 logs shows:
* going to insmod fat.o (path is NULL)
* going to insmod vat.o (path is NULL)
* kickstart file copied to /tmp/ks.cfg
* ...probe stuff...
* module 3c59x inserted successfully
* kickstarting through device eth0
* sending dhcp request through device eth0
* pump told us: No DHCP reply received

Why is it using DHCP when I've told it to use the static configuration ?

Ian

Here is my ks.cfg file (I put it on a floppy and boot with "linux ks=floppy"):
